The best software for UI/UX design

What differentiates Freehand from other similar products?

Initially I used it deliberately to design web and mobile interfaces, as well as associated interactive prototypes. Everything is much easier now that the streams have been included. I now use it for everything digital, including designs for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The most difficult challenge that InVision solves for me is allowing a customer to stroll around a website or app. I am compelled to describe my conceptualizations to the customer and expect them to follow through effectively without the interactive choices that InVision provides. Instead of merely brainstorming with customers and hope they can follow through.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I enjoy how simple the program is, how well organized the materials are, and how frequently new features are added. The ability to collaborate in real time is fantastic. Because everything is supposed to be basic, the application is incredibly straightforward to use and experiment with to develop UI structures and mockups. I also enjoy how mockups can be made with interactive components to make them feel more like a working product. The nicest component of InVision is the program's prototyping feature, which allows me to lead my clients through my construct and clearly see the almost working concept.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Creating an actual prototype with interactions is quite difficult. It's not intuitive, and it takes a lot of time before and after multiple testing to get a successful prototype. I wouldn't say I like the interface testing phase. I would also suggest adding more touch gestures and the ability to import movies to make the prototype process more akin to the final product.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Immerse yourself in the program for a few weeks before planning a project around it. Youtube is a great place to learn some basic tips and tricks with InVision, as the program doesn't really show all of its features when you first use it. My suggestion would be to learn some of the nuances to fully use it to its fullest advantage, InVision is efficient for building mockups.

Intuitive software easy to implement

What differentiates Freehand from other similar products?

Our staff can complete jobs considerably more quickly. We used to use Creately and had to wait for someone to complete before we could view the file. Our team's largest issue was the lack of a specialized UX/UI designer. Product managers, like me, were in charge of generating low-fi and high-fi prototypes and wireframes. InVision met the need by providing us with quick access to our company's UX library. InVision animation is more harder to create than drawings.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The file can be worked on by several users at the same time. To avoid pathways crossing, highlight the area where other users are working. I also like that it's saved in the cloud and that you don't have to keep several file versions. You only have one file, and it contains prior versions. InVision has also been used to resize signatures and experiment with color coding. The ability to export CSS after design so that the developer gets everything they need to write is quite useful.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you're looking for more collaboration while people are working from home, this is a great tool. It takes a bit of time to get familiar with the functionality, but it's worth it. Great tool for product folks and teams that don't have a dedicated UX/UI designer. The interface is very clean and easy to use, all the tools you'll need for prototyping.

Great prototyping tool.

What differentiates Freehand from other similar products?

Prototypes are easier to share with developers and testers. InVision bridges the gap between customers and designers in terms of collecting feedback, transferring information and communicating. When you create a website or application, you need to show how the interaction works, so upload a JPG file, associate it with a hotspot, interact with it, and test it before sharing it with your colleagues.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

InVision is a fantastic tool for creating user interfaces that are based on feedback, specifications and collaboration, it enables me to communicate in real time with my clients and coworkers. I can also test how my app prototype functions or will function on my phone. The level of detail that may be defined is practically limitless; we frequently utilize InVision when redesigning the user interface for website modernisation projects. Furthermore, because many mobile layouts are saved on a device by default, you don't need to include device templates in your layout files, which minimizes file sizes and simplifies distribution.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dislike how difficult it is to update design files after a project has already been created; you must be extremely careful when selecting the precise files that changed, whereas on other platforms, such as Adobe XD Prototypes, you just click a button and go. One thing I didn't like about inVision was the exorbitant monthly fee. Rather of searching for instructions in a different section of the website, I'd like to see more tutorials in the applications or mobile app.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

We highly advise you to test it throughout your whole process, including how your colleagues and clients will interact with it and how InVision will fit into your daily work. It's also an incredible wireframing experience; the cooperation is flawless, and I've never seen anything like it in another application. If you're working in Sketch or Photoshop, check out the InVision plugins to make design changes a snap. Please keep in mind that there is presently no access to Adobe XD or Figma.
