Intuitive, Fully-Featured, Customizable, Love it!

What differentiates Progress Sitefinity from other similar products?
Easiest and most intuitive CMS tool I've ever used, from a user standpoint. Most customizable CMS I've ever used from a developer standpoint. Very full-featured, and easily extensible.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
As a developer, I love how easy Sitefinity is to customize. Not only is it possible to customize and extend everything in Sitefinity, there are usually several ways to do it. People get hung up on some of the limitations of what's built into certain widgets, but often don't realize that they have complete control, even over the built-in default implementations.
What do you dislike most about this product?
E-commerce support is pretty lacking. There is built-in e-commerce, but to be frank it's not very good. Apart from that, Sitefinity recommends using Ucommerce, ROC Commerce, or SmarterCommerce, but the integration for these is far from intuitive. The Site Sync module is an absolute must, and I wish it were bundled into the license for other licenses besides Enterprise. At least professional. And finally, the bones of the Sitefinity platform are developed in ASP .Net (Web Forms), which is bulky and in a lot of cases can be pretty slow. I would love to see Sitefinity re-built on a lighter weight technology like .Net Core.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do it. Your users will thank you for it. No other solution is as empowering for marketing teams and other users who may not be extremely proficient from a code/markup standpoint. The administrative interface for pages and features is very intuitive, and users typically have no trouble learning the interface and using the tool immediately to produce content.
