What differentiates Salesforce CPQ from other similar products?
It is hosted within Salesforce so that us a huge plus. We only need to manage 1 contract with 1 vendor, and our Salesforce admins can jump in and make some adjustments to CPQ whenever required. It's a classic platform that many admins have used before, so that's a big win-- you don't necessarily need to hire someone so specialized for a niche product.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
You can almost do anything you need to if you're okay with lots of customizations and change management. Hyper flexible solution when it comes to product management, product rules, quote line editor, etc. If you need it built a certain way, with the skilled talent they can do it-- but it comes at a cost of over-customizing a tool.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I'd love an easier way to modify Quote documents. At the moment it is very rules-based and not very customizable. Other solutions are very flexible when it comes to 100% editing a document their system generated. Often I'm finding myself needing to edit the CPQ generated document in PDF just to accomplish a one-off customization.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try before you buy! Very difficult tool to maintain if you start customizing it too far. So other solutions may fit your simplistic needs better.

What differentiates Salesforce CPQ from other similar products?
All of my questions have received concise and timely responses. It enabled field and design improvements that fit within our plans and spending limits. As a result, I was able to modify the tool to meet our specific price structure.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The best software available for managing the entire invoicing process is Salesforce CPQ. Using Salesforce CPQ has significantly reduced the time spent managing invoicing, and it is incredibly simple to use. It is utilized to automate Order Management, Recurring Payments, Discounts, and Billing and Invoicing. I advise everyone who works for a company with convoluted billing procedures to try it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If you don't have a "simple" pricing module, implementing a pricing system can be rather difficult. Even though our price structure is significantly more convoluted than it needs to be, it has nevertheless been a major problem.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It creates a more uniform quoting procedure and slightly speeds up approvals. The feature of CPQ that I value the most is how easy it makes it possible for me to maintain many quotes associated with a single opportunity. There are also some excellent options to add multiple products, which simplifies the quoting process.
