About Tony Tardugno

Anthony Tardugno is an accomplished senior IT executive and an Executive Counselor at Info-Tech Research Group, where his focus is on the Healthcare vertical. Tony brings over 35 years of information technology and business experience across multiple industries including healthcare, manufacturing, and services. He has expertise in the development of business, information systems, and organizational and sourcing strategies. In addition, he has significant experience in cultural and organizational change management, large-scale program and project delivery, digital transformation, enterprise architecture development, cloud computing, and achieving business strategy through technology.  

For the past 20 years, Tony has served as a CIO of three major BlueCross BlueShield Plans where he led both organizational and technology transformations. While at BCBS of North Dakota he led the development of the Overall Enterprise Business Strategy, was the General Manager and Board Secretary of MdDataCore (a wholly owned subsidiary – analytics company) and was a Board Member of CoreLink (a joint venture with BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska – claims operations company). Tony was appointed by the Governor of North Dakota as a member of the State Health Information Technology Advisory Committee.

Tony has also served on several Academic and Charitable Advisory Boards including Louisiana State University’s E.J. Ourso College of Business, ISDS Advisory Board,  Rochester Institute of Technology, Golisano College of Computer Science Advisory Board, and The March of Dimes where he served as Board Chair for two years. Tony also coauthored the book IT Services: Costs, Metrics Benchmarking & Marketing; Prentice Hall.

Tony earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The State University of New York at Oswego. He also completed the AHIP Executive Leadership Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School.
