About William Wong

William has almost 40 years of IT experience across a broad range of industries, addressing challenges to technology improvement and delivery. His additional areas of focus include Security & privacy, risk management, IT strategy, marketing strategy, and how organizations can successfully leverage innovation to create and sustain value.

Prior to the Executive Advisor role, William was with the Info-Tech’s Security, Privacy, Risk & Governance practice as a Principal Research Advisor, helping CIOs/CISOs and senior security managers with their strategy and risk management.

Prior to his career at Info-Tech, William worked for IBM, where he had various roles from system design, AppDev, security & privacy consulting, security testing, resource management, business transformation, sales, and marketing leadership.

As an Executive Advisor in our Executive Services team, William provides strategic guidance and assistance by helping to unlock client potential through Info-Tech’s constantly evolving offering of tools and services. William supports ongoing incremental improvement of clients' success with their primary stakeholders and partners. William was the assigned Executive Advisor to 6 of the 39 IT leaders that won 2021 Info-Tech Leadership Awards among thousands of Info-Tech members.
