Every organization is looking to become a data-driven organization. However, very few know what that entails. An organization must take data seriously by adopting three important concepts. First is the decouple process, where the organization separates data from business processes and elevates the visibility of data assets. Second, leverage a secure platform where data can be easily exchanged for insights generation. Lastly, create density for analytics, where resources are mobilized around analytics ideas to generate value.
Most organizations have made good progress in establishing a data platform and creating data assets. The real challenge is in optimizing their analytics operating model to achieve the right density.
