Use this template to define each function in the IT operating model. Breaking up the Service-Aligned IT Operating Model into each of its functional areas allows for the operationalization of each area:
- Purpose
- Priority capabilities
- The products, services, and technologies it delivers
- Success criteria to enable performance measurement
- Critical stakeholders being defined and determining how they are collaborated with
- Value streams defined to articulate how stakeholders obtain value
- What decision-making authority rights the function has
- An approach to sourcing
By defining each of these components within each functional area of the IT operating model, there is no room for uncertainty in how IT is enabling value.
