28-Jan-10 Canada's largest communications company is the Exclusive Telecommunications Partner to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games – Telemanagement takes a closer look at what Bell Canada is up to.
“We have put a massive fibre optic connection between Vancouver and Whistler,” Justin Webb, VP of Olympic Services for Bell, tells Telemanagement. “All the telecommunications currently required by Canada could run on that pipe”.
The 285 km fibre-optic network is designed to increase individual and business connectivity for the entire “sea to sky” corridor, and crosses eight municipalities representing more than 70,000 people.
