What differentiates Alteryx from other similar products?

To help you make better decisions, Trifacta enables you to cleanse, organize, and enrich unstructured data. You can perform cross-category calculations and provide data using the high-level summary that is generated. The dataset becomes smaller, making it easier to share with other team members to gather insights. To turn unstructured data into insights, you can automate robust data pipelines, evaluate distributions and trends in data, detect anomalies, and discover distributions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like Trifacta, it has the ability to blend data from various sources to get insightful data and identify new trends, patterns and linkages. It allows me to fill in missing numbers, spot and fix problems, remove outliers, and verify that data values are in the proper rows and columns for advanced analysis. With built-in collaboration capabilities, you can democratize data to make collaboration easier.

What do you dislike most about this product?

When generating load samples and preparing data, Trifacta is still sluggish. The Trifacta user interface requires some getting used to.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To organize, purge, enrich, validate, publish, and analyze data, I suggest using Trifacta.

What differentiates Alteryx from other similar products?

When it comes to automating processes, reducing costs, creating value, and improving decision making, Alteryx is a master. Before you send your ideas to the engineering staff, you can prototype them. You can set up routine procedures to run and then move on to other projects with the confidence that the automation will work as intended.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like Alteryx because it allows us to create processes to run on the Alteryx Server whether users are present or not. Workflow results can be emailed. Both successful and failed procedures can send you notifications once they are finished. Website data can be analyzed as well as daily dashboard reports and exception reports.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Alteryx requires an additional update for the desktop automation application. For beginners, the learning curve is quite steep.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To automate manual Excel work, I recommend Alteryx. Your manual requests can be turned into automated reports initiated by the end user. It enables you to work with big data files that need to be transformed into various types of documents, manipulate data, and create repeatable workflows.

What differentiates Alteryx from other similar products?

Being able to create a workflow or chain of events to format or extract data saves us time. Some of our tasks are repetitive, and being able to automate those shots ensures that the final product is accurate.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like Alteryx for the dynamic workflow automation it gives me. I can create and schedule workflows to run regularly and then move on to other projects with confidence that our automation will run as expected. I get notifications of processes that have completed and any processes that did not run successfully. Emails with the results of the workflow. I use Alteryx to send daily dashboard reports, exception reports, analyze website data, and anything else related to data. Excellent community and support.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Version control is frequently tough, especially when it comes to workflows running from the Gallery with many output files, and printing massive workflows to PDF might be tricky. The display is not very good.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

At my company, we frequently create and copy spreadsheets to display different iterations of metrics. This creates a lot of redundant files, often breaks links in workbooks, and leads to human error. By allowing users to design automated workflows that perform the same actions users might perform on a regular basis or dynamically if needed, Alteryx eliminates all of this.
