Amazon Drive for Business Requirements
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?
It's used in nearly every department at our company, from HR to Dev-ops. We use it for file storage and secure file sharing across or within teams. In particular, we use [it] in my team to share files within [the] team or with clients who have specific access requests attached to them. It is appropriate for small and medium-sized businesses. Customer support isn't always great, so if your company's needs don't necessitate a lot of assistance, you can go for it. In terms of product trust, I recommend and trust it if your business meets the offering. Amazon Drive recognizes photos and videos in specific folders (that you choose).
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
For important files, videos, and photos, we use Amazon Drive as our primary backup. We do not have access to Amazon Drive as a company. Only the owners have access to it. We don't access the files very often, but it gives us peace of mind knowing that they are safe and accessible in the event of any unexpected IT problems. Amazon Drive is useful in a variety of situations. It works best as a cloud backup - a secure location to store important files, photos, and videos. I wouldn't recommend it for collaborative document management because I believe there are better options. Amazon Drive can be set up to automatically upload specific folders
What do you dislike most about this product?
While it is simple to change user permissions, device management is more difficult than we would like, and file security is critical. If we ever cancel our corporate Prime membership, we will no longer have access to our files. The file storage user interface isn't as user-friendly as I'd like. When I first purchased the plans, they were not entirely clear to me. The only reason I dock it a point is that device management, as a subset of user management, is a little clumsy. It hasn't been a problem so far, but it could jeopardize security in the future. Overall, I'd recommend it. The file storage user interface isn't as user-friendly.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
We haven't needed to use the service for Amazon Drive yet, but based on our previous Amazon support experiences, I expect it to be excellent. Amazon Drive has a comprehensive list of support topics. Contacting the main Amazon Customer Service number - or using their chat or email feature - will get you direct customer support. Overall, this is excellent software for file sharing, storage, and collaboration. Its security is excellent, and its user management is flawless. The only reason I dock it a point is that device management, as a subset of user management, is a little clumsy. It hasn't been a problem so far, but it could jeopardize.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
