What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

AWS EC2 is a complete solution to run virtual machines in the cloud with a lot of capabilities. There are various types of EC2 instances which makes it very easy to optimize cost based on the usage pattern. EC@ provides a secure environment with great auto-scaling and load-balancing capability. It is also a very reliable, highly available, and fault-tolerant IaaS service which allows the organization to focus on product development instead of struggling with infrastructure. It provides options to run many types of OS and allows to configure instances based on the requirement which gives flexibility to the organization.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Auto-scaling and different types of EC2 instances are my favorite aspects.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I can't think of anything negative about it.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would say if you want a highly reliable, available, and fault tolerance system with auto-scaling and cost optimization then you must go with EC2. Apart from these things organizations also get relief from maintaining infrastructure by choosing EC2 instances over DC deployments.

Price can be very high when you have usage spikes

Make sure you can monitor usage and have budget preparation when you anticipate higher usage.
