What is AWS CloudFormation?
AWS CloudFormation provides a common language for you to describe and provision all the infrastructure resources in your cloud environment. CloudFormation allows you to use a simple text file to model and provision, in an automated and secure manner, all the resources needed for your applications across all regions and accounts. This file serves as the single source of truth for your cloud environment.

Powerful tool for AWS automation
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?
AWS Cloudformation enables the provisioning and management of different resources within AWS. To get you started with the resource of your choosing, simple templates are easily accessible.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My best feature of CloudFormation is that it provides centralized resource management and monitoring. This avoids manual setup and lowers the possibility of mistakes because it is an IaC tool. The intended configuration specified in the template is followed when using CloudFormation to deploy your infrastructure.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Due to improper IDE integration, debugging cloud-based applications is only possible for AWS resources.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
AWS CloudFormation works well in situations when all of your resources must be provisioned on AWS, but it is not appropriate for deployments in hybrid clouds. Learning is relatively simple for a new person. The template's amount of modification, which is intended exclusively for AWS services, is excellent. There is also a user interface tool that allows us to drag and drop the services we want, and it creates an extremely user-friendly yaml file.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Easy Deployment with AWS CloudFormation
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates AWS CloudFormation from other similar products?
AWS CloudFormation offers change management and rollbacks, allowing users to keep track of infrastructure changes and easily manage them. If any issues or failures occur during the change process, CloudFormation can automatically revert back to the previous working state.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
AWS CloudFormation can define your infrastructure using templates. This means you can describe all the resources you need in a code-like format. When you deploy your infrastructure, CloudFormation automatically provisions the resources for you.
What do you dislike most about this product?
As your infrastructure stacks become larger and more complex, using CloudFormation to manage and troubleshoot them can become more difficult. It may be challenging to identify and fix issues, keep track of dependencies between resources, and ensure optimal performance.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Use Best Practices for CloudFormation Templates: Follow recommended guidelines for creating CloudFormation templates to make them easier to maintain, reusable, and scalable. This involves breaking templates into smaller, manageable parts, using parameters and mappings efficiently to customise deployments, and implementing version control to track changes.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Trustworthy
