What differentiates AWS Shield from other similar products?
Unquestionably, one of AWS's best solutions is a network firewall. It must still be the finest, though. The network structure of VPCs in Amazon is more complicated than it needs to be. Yet, one benefit is that it has a flexible design. Managed rules have recently become available. The more improved content there is, the easier it will be.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The system was easy to design and operate, and Amazon Firewall Manager made administration straightforward. There are fewer administrative requirements and resource limitations with the Managed Services option. Installation and use are made simpler by the public cloud's built-in integration. Built-in IPS avoidance of maintenance costs and dependency on physical infrastructure. The system's ability to scale up or down in response to the demands of a particular resource is an important feature.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Support for the product is only offered if we are enrolled in the developer support plan because the device requires expert assistance during the first configuration. It is difficult to configure or sync different systems. Ordinary admins must use the command line to assemble the rules for various categories manually.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Used for a project that uses AWS and has a vast user base. We may use the program to track security holes and monitor general network activities to update the network quickly. The provider is willing and eager to cooperate with our company. It has been enjoyable to get to know the staff members personally.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product

What differentiates AWS Shield from other similar products?
We used it for a scalable project that uses Amazon and an internal app base with a large user base. We were able to use the app to track security vulnerabilities and keep an eye on general network traffic so that we could quickly upgrade it. The AWS Shield was simple to set up and use, and the web tutorials offered thorough advice on various deployment tactics.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Offers centralized, automatic defense against DDoS attacks and cross-account security. Cloud-based technology provides quick verification and simple buying. It can be connected to other AWS services to improve utilization. A fully customized user interface and strong access to AWS and other cloud services. Both simple and complex settings have extensive documentation. It's simple to install AWS. Because we only use AWS, which was also developed there, it naturally suits our infrastructure.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It was more challenging to use some monitoring hooks than others in earlier implementations. Ultimately, the most recent versions may cause the documentation to be outdated. Compared to other conventional FW vendor solutions, the definition of fine-grained application controls could be more accurate. If more suppliers could provide rulesets and layer seven rules for the NFW, that would be convenient.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The AWS Shield reportedly addressed the project. We started to impose more internal technology standards and tighten security. Adoption is aided through Immersion Day and other AWS training programs. We might have discovered more economical choices when we looked at other things, but this one allowed us to complete the task swiftly and affordably.
