Most reliable cloud compute engine for corporate

What differentiates AWS Systems Manager from other similar products?
Amazon EC2 Systems Manager is easy to use, and the details of its user are well documented helping the users onboard with ease. Application programming interfaces (APIs) are accessible to all users and are available in many regions globally - more than any other cloud platform, which differentiates it from other similar products in the market.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The best thing about Amazon EC2 Systems Manager is that it flexibly scales the resources in the backend as per the requirements. The Product team wished to process multiple GB of datasets, and local computing, on 8 GB RAM, was proving difficult. While looking for a solution to this challenge, we came across Amazon EC2 and how we could leverage it to deploy the applications differently to different clients, depending on their compute requirements. Our clients now do not need to limit the usage of other tools on their Local system fearing the lack of memory available and freezing of their applications due to insufficient CPU and RAM available!
What do you dislike most about this product?
The actual pricing structure of Amazon EC2 is much more complex than what is mentioned in their pricing guide and dynamically varies with the extent to which the services are used. When we couple this with automated reports not being sent by Amazon Web Services when the EC2 is severely underutilized for long durations, the team ends up having a significant cost disadvantage. It would be helpful if the actual pricing is simplified so that the costs could be estimated accurately. If the team sends automated mail reports of the EC2 usage, we could negotiate with our clients for lesser compute capacity, eventually helping us reduce our costs.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend every corporate IT user to use Amazon EC2 Systems Manager to monitor their applications and instances running in their AWS Cloud. Amazon EC2 Systems Manager would help you understand in depth what is happening within the AWS systems and help control the costs as per scale.
