What differentiates Clarity from other similar products?
When compared to similar programs, this one stands out owing to the superiority of the company portfolio management features it provides. There is a lot of useful features to choose from, and the dashboards are top-notch. Furthermore, admins have a simple time tailoring the UI to specific user types.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
When it comes to Enterprise Portfolio Management, Clarity PPM has you covered with a powerful and flexible set of tools. All essential functions are present by default, the dashboards are top-notch, and the software's interface can be easily tailored to different user types. Sharepoint dashboards for the Clarity program were successfully integrated. Dashboards can now be automatically updated to reflect changes to the approval status of documents and stage-gates governed by Sharepoint workflows. This approach is considerably easier to implement and maintain than using Clarity workflows. Capacity planning functionality works really well.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Project management is poor. The Clarity project plan UI and MSP integration are difficult to utilize. Project managers use Clarity for ad hoc reporting on critical topics and keep risk and issue logs separately. The product lacked Agile project support, therefore we added a faux waterfall layer. CA's acquisition of Rally may affect this product feature. Capacity planning in Clarity is needed to manage resources throughout the delivery lifecycle. If you need to switch timesheeting solutions, expect pushback and a long acceptance process.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Because it consolidates relevant data in one place, Clarity comes highly recommended from me. Because the negative effects of delaying such judgments are more obvious, this helps dissuade business leaders and department managers from postponing such decisions. Clarity allows us to effectively manage our portfolio and monitor the development of more than 500 projects each year.
