Canvas is a leader because of it's continuous improvements and innovation. The community is always learning about how to improve it's product.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The customization options are endless. It's truly a "blank canvas" and you can create a well-designed course from it.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Lack of math functionality. It's perfect if you teach soft-sciences. But if your content involves number-crunching and mathematical operators, you may need another platform in to provide the content.

Great features for educators.

What differentiates Canvas from other similar products?
Canvas is more simplistic and clear for the user and the administrator
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like organization of the side bar. They are arranged in a way that makes sense for courses.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike that there is not clear when it comes to the organization of modules how exactly one should set it up or a most popular recommendation. It can get sloppy for many teachers and the organization of that tab gets crazy. Because many teachers set up the modules section differently, it becomes confusing for the students. More consistency about how to layout modules could be helpful.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Decide with other educators how you will be setting up modules and each tab so all teachers in the school Or program run the system the same way. It will be helpful for the students.
