What differentiates Cisco Meraki from other similar products?
The Cisco Meraki is a SD-WLAN access router for branch and remote office deployments, in addition to being a router with advanced features, it also has the added redundancy of 4G LTE connectivity. The feature set available allows it to provide advanced IP routing, QoS VPN security and QR p, while supporting legacy interfaces and protocols, it also has an integrated hard disk to run advanced applications and services.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It has ruggedized models for industrial environments and vehicle transportation applications. WiFi with the survivability of telephony over IP, Now, LTE connectivity is a differentiator for ESR, which tends to be a strong selling point. It is a key solution, both from a business and technical point of view, for remote locations or branch offices that need advanced functionality. The SD-Wlan is an ideal solution for small, medium and large branch offices, reinforcing the strengths when deploying networks.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some small locations may require a backup circuit in the event that the main interface collapses.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The Cisco Meraki features a server with a dedicated RAM and processor that enables available applications to provide antivirus protection, intrusion detection services, web caching, video proxy and local file storage. This solution will help markets that need a cost-effective gateway to the cloud with performance and high connection quality and security.

Sometimes I will search for a device and I can't find it even when I know what name it's under.

Dive right into it. Can be confusing at first but once you know the layout it's very easy.

What differentiates Cisco Meraki from other similar products?
It's completely integrated with all of our network devices and makes network administration easier than ever.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Being able to see the status of all of our devices around the organization in one place. Then, the ability to manage all of those devices simply.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It sacrifices some customization and the hands-on work of network administration for the sake of ease-of-use (not a con for a lot of people, however).
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you don't have the capacity for an entire network team or even a network admin, the Meraki products and service are the way to go. It runs itself and, when you do need to intervene, it doesn't take a professional network engineer to work on the issue.
