Clio: For your first legal practices
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Clio from other similar products?
We are talking about the first platform dedicated to the field of law, estate planning lawyers use Clio only because of its integration with WealthCounsel. For its system configuration and form creation. It is a practice management solution for law firms.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
All of our in-office tools come from this platform, document templates, automatic billing and invoice reminders. we use it to track matters, keep all of our dates in one place, to-do's and communication between our attorneys.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Being one of the few law firm applications it lacks its main contact collection system, its forms only allow you to collect one contact. You cannot create fields in the form that are optional type, so you must make a different form for a family with one child, x number of children. And a different form for married or unmarried persons.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For the start of a law firm is good to start with this type of platform for the simplicity of using your system for templates, documents and type of billing, it is not a complete software, but it fulfills the necessary tasks to start, it gives you the ability to do a lot in a short time and customize to your business needs.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Trustworthy
- Unique Features

Clio: it is much easier to keep customer accounts
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Clio from other similar products?
We use this software to optimally manage all our clients' accounts and have all the information in one program, from the invoicing process, to case management, disputes, clients and leads. I like that it allows us to completely track all processes, such as activity tracking, expense tracking and hours worked on each case.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
One of the advantages of this software is its mobile application, as it allows us to continue using it even outside the office, which makes our work easier. It allows the integration of accounting software, to keep an invoicing in order and without errors. The fact that it allows the integration of PayPal, which is an application that many people use, is a great advantage that we do not see in other programs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The process of migrating customer information to the software was very complicated and although it is a one-time process, it was so cumbersome that they should find a way to make this task easier. I would also like your reports to be more detailed, especially in the accounting part, to have more control of income and expenses.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Clio is an excellent practice management solution for small firms doing billing work. Clio management software is great for tracking your time, tracking themed budgets, and tracking expenses at different rates. Clio is also ideal for companies looking to implement and use technology in the office. If clients are at least somewhat tech savvy (have and know how to use email), they will also benefit and enjoy implementing Clio. Clio is our primary CRM. We are a small two-lawyer firm with no support staff, and Clio (Administration + Growth) allows us to leverage technology solutions to better serve our clients' needs.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
- Trustworthy
- Unique Features

Clio is the best data migration tool on the market

What differentiates Clio from other similar products?
Clio overall has more Pros than Cons, it has made our billing reliable and secure with our clients, it is much more efficient with a premium plan and has allowed us to add billable hours to projects, which we could not do before and had to bill several times per client.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Clio offers enough tools and features to improve the management and performance of queries made for any small or medium business. It has too many integrations which allows us to be up to date with everything. It is an important part of the business development of our product and Clio always makes us go one step ahead of our competition.
What do you dislike most about this product?
You need advanced configurations to be able to automate everything, Clio gives us reliability and growth, but it takes a lot of training to achieve the goal. It leaves a lot of gaps and shortcomings in the long run, but we can adapt with experience using Clio.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Clio is feature-rich, which means it has the power to do a lot, customizing it to your company's needs. However, essential remote work functions such as text messaging, video chat, etc. are still missing within the platform.
Pros
- Reliable
- Respectful
- Fair
- Altruistic
