What differentiates Coda from other similar products?
Coda is designed to be a one stop tool that takes excel, word and workflow apps into one place. Default it come with templates, buttons and tables that are typical for most project and product lifecycles. It saves time by doing the creation work for you.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It has an excellent views tab that is custom to each user. So I may like a Gnatt chart style whilst a BA would like a workspace that Trello or Jamboarda offers.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Not much. It works seamlessly with Jira and even Slack, so you can push and communicate new work to the Dev teams very easily.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It’s very seamless to work with. Even integrating with other tools and systems is surprisingly easy. I do recommend.

What differentiates Coda from other similar products?
The first document I made in Coda was a to-do list to keep track of my school assignments and deadlines. In a few minutes, I created an app as powerful as any to-do list app you can find on the app store, and on top of that it was customized to my liking. I even made it so if the due date was approaching, the task would turn orange, and if the due date was that day, the task would turn red. All that with basically just a few clicks. And the best part is I can now add any features I want. For example, my next idea is automation. Taking the info from a weekly schedule, and automatically making that day's to dos into a new list.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With Coda, I can keep all of our retrospective notes and progress tracking organized. No one needs to wonder which document to look at, because everything is in one place! Pros: Coda is a great way to get my team of designers and engineers organized around our product specs, project timelines and bug bashes!
What do you dislike most about this product?
Nothing at all
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
've been using Coda for quite some time. My QA team is constantly using it on daily basis to analyse constant changes in develop and creating test plans for regression cycles for RC builds. We've deprecated most of our Excel and Google spreadsheet documents. It's very powerful tool with lots of cool features. Card view and Gantt charts are very useful and well implemented. Pros: Quick templates gallery, fast loading, tons of cool features, very powerful for the small team (can replace Jira, Excel & Confluence)
Pros
- Respectful
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
