It gives user the option to set up things on premise as well as on the cloud based on person's needs.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Improved safety with the help of self hosted option ensures that the project owners can install cody on their own servers keeping all the data in-house, which is great for applications working sensitive data.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There is a steep learning curve with this tool, while at start you can use the basic functionality with very less prior knowledge to AI tools, but leveraging its full potential can be time consuming, also few times i have seen inconsistent/suboptimal suggestions which again needs developers review.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Use out its free version to see if it matches your needs, if you are working on sensitive data please go ahead with Cody and use the on-premise deployment option.
