Good product, but pricy for what it can do
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Dataiku from other similar products?
Ease of conducting analytical work on big data and building Machine Learning models using out-of-the-box algorithms
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It's great for one-off analytical projects
What do you dislike most about this product?
It doesn't follow or enforce best practices for software development and DevOps / MLOps, which results in projects that are non-reproducible and/or very hard to maintain in the long term.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Clearly understand what your organisation's real needs are. If it's one-off analytical projects or simple predictive models, Dataiku can be a great choice (assuming you can afford the license). If, however, you need to build custom Machine Learning models and want do to this following the best practices from software engineering and DevOps / MLOps, you may be disappointed by choosing this product.

What differentiates Dataiku from other similar products?
I like the pliability to ingest different data sources. The program is intuitive and permits you to transfer data into a project with many clicks. Also, the portfolio of recipes and algorithms facilitates expediting the development of various algorithms. One exercise that I’d prefer to do is to check the time-saving opportunities that I can have with this kind of tool. Dataiku DSS is a complete data science tool with a big selection of applications. It has everything you’ll ask for.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Easy use because of the presence of all majorly applied operations as direct ‘recipes’. And also, the visual flow component helps keep track of things most intuitively. DSS is a powerful tool for information science work. It gives you the best suggestion that the algorithm is best for your analysis. I even have used it primarily for data preparation and data analysis purpose. It‘s straightforward to use and reuse your data flow creating this extremely cool.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If not properly managed, the flows will become massive and tough to manage- I notice the visual arrangement side of the tool to be a touch lacking. The two options of anchor and free flow each have their downsides. Anchor works fine just for smaller flows.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I’d advocate obtaining the certification. That’s a decent way to get your hands on using real-world issues to explore thoroughly the various functionalities of the software. Also, have a data catalog to grasp all the components of your data.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Unique Features
- Efficient Service
