What differentiates GitLab Ultimate from other similar products?
Gitlab has the best artificial intelligence assisted development features , of any code repository that I have used. With this provision, I am coding and deploying my software faster, without any drop in quality in the area of adhering to basic security protocols when building software.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Gitlabs git based repository has enabled my team work together to build software products, remotely. Very important to me, is how Gitlab has helped to effectively connect every aspect of our software development security protocols and operations. This has helped to expand branching capabilities, while having an all round , end to end view of our development workstream.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Searching capabilities on Gitlab projects can be a lot better , as far as I am concerned. As an example, searching for code snippets across multiple Gitlab projects is not as effective as I would want it to be.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For me , I always will recommend that new users looking to adopt Gitlab sign up for a trial period to use Gitlab and decide for themselves if the value it offers, meets their immediate development needs.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The breath of in-built features for scanning, and detection is promising. These features help to access DevSecOps even for learners of our organization by giving in-depth extensive reporting without demanding discrete security way-outs. Its compliance reporting and audit logs are very important for our organization for the regulation of industries. The centralized makes sure for our team to sort out issues efficiently.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Its advanced and extensive sets of tools overwhelm us, especially our new employees who are not aware of the functioning of DevSecOps. Its DAST customization is though easy to execute but it lacks the configuration abilities for complex web applications.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Its most complex security scans are SAST and dependency scanning, so take an initiative with this to reduce overwhelming, and then gradually involve scanning like Container Scanning, and DAST. To balance security and functioning, the configuration of thresholds of scanning, schedules, and policies on the basis of your project needs is directed.
