What differentiates Globalscape Enhanced File Transfer from other similar products?
Globalscape is a very easy to implement product with a wide variety of built in features to do far more than file transfer. Encryption/Decryption capabilities are great, and support for newer/more ciphers is improving in newer versions.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ease of configuration, Supportability, and overall features. This is a well-established software in our environment and meets/exceeds a majority of our needs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
My Biggest complaint with this product revolves around the Admin console and it's inability to support back-level versions of the product. I have yet to get a full functioning instance of the Admin GUI the same machine for two different versions. One other complaint is around the compress/decompress functions and their behavior in a folder monitor. Certainly not showstoppers, but annoyances in an otherwise fantastic product! Another area of improvement would be around upgrading the product itself... the Ability to do this one node at a time without downtime would be fantastic!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Don't hesitate, buy now! However, if you're looking for Enterprise-level functionality, be sure that you buy the enterprise version. I know this seems redundant, but we all like to save money... This isn't one of those times.
