What differentiates Google Meet from other similar products?
For all of our daily meetings, my company uses Google Meet. I especially appreciate the Google Meets Desktop App because, in addition to the meetings themselves, I leave the tab open all day to offer me an uncluttered, at-a-glance schedule of my meetings. I find the backgrounds quite useful because I always have the same background whether I work from home or the office (or in the car in the parking lot). When I’m on the run, the links are also conveniently accessible from my mobile device. Emojis are a terrific way to enhance morale in team meetings.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Google Meet is one of the simplest ways to start an instant meeting. I only require a basic Google account to sign in to Google Meet and start/join any meeting with a single click. I may chat, share my screen, and invite people to any ongoing meeting. After the host allows me to join a meeting, all I need is the Google Meet link. Because of its ease of use, I believe Google Meet is frequently used. I prefer the web version to the app version, although both are excellent in their own right.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are always some ways in which a tool might be improved. One of those reasons is that people occasionally face issues with a poor internet connection, and Google Meet is a tool that functions best with a strong internet connection.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Although all conferencing platforms today give easy accessibility such as web apps, support for all operating systems, and even mobile apps to easily attend a meeting, I still believe Google Meet is a better product on the market today. The reason for this is that the Google services ecosystem is so well interwoven that life becomes more accessible. Invites are immediately visible in Google Calendar, and video recordings are saved in Google Drive and available in Google Docs and other places. Because we’re talking about Google, there are no security or privacy concerns to begin with. I like how they used emojis in the meeting.
