What differentiates Hexagon Geospatial Platforms from other similar products?
Full disclosure; I am both a commercial user and distributor for Hexagon software. I primarily use ERDAS IMAGINE and the M.App Enterprise suite. With my vendor neutral hat on, I use IMAGINE as it is so intuitive and easy to use. Similar software offer similar features but can be a bit toolboxy. IMAGINE guides the user through processes and allows a low/semi-skilled user to get useful results.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The Spatial Modeler. Without doubt the most intuitive and powerful graphical modeler in the business. This is available both in desktop products and within the enterprise suite for cloud deployment.
What do you dislike most about this product?
In common with most similar software, it crashes now and again. I wish it didn't, but there it is. It does have a good auto-recovery feature though, so that's nice.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try it. There are evaluations available and while evaluating, make sure you try and fully understand the capabilities of the Spatial Modeler.

What differentiates Hexagon Geospatial Platforms from other similar products?
Within the constraints of my knowledge of the marketplace, the. particular set of capabilities for temporal manipulation and presentation of geospatial sets it apart.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Rapid implementation of Erdas imagine Spatial Recipes in M.App applications
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some of the workflow is counterintuitive but I expect this will change in response to user feedback
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Take advantage of a free trial period to satisfy yourself that the suite will meet your needs, speak with your representative often and do some training to make the most of the evaluation period
