What differentiates Ideagen Q-Pulse QMS from other similar products?
I feel that Q-pulse is actually quite basic in comparison to other rivalling products on the market. I would say the design and layout of q-pulse is actually quite outdated now and other products are much more modern and sleek. I would say the layout even on the SaaS model is poor! Q-pulse is difficult and we have issues with engagement in our organisation, because it’s automatic work flows are not great. The support from the q pulse team is good, but they are extremely expensive for training and development of the system on top of the already expensive base product.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The document module is the best section. This is easy to use. I love the tracking of who the document has been issued to and who has read and understood the prodcedures.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The lack of automatic work flow makes the system somewhat difficult to use. We have to manually check many actions within CAPAs where other systems are automated. The layout is old fashioned and difficult for unfamiliar users. The supplier module is pointless, you cannot even add individual documents and see the expiry date and set a reminder.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Don’t - there are plenty of other products that offer a one stop shop product for much cheaper than q-pulse. Be aware of the training and development add on costs after the purchase of the base product which runs into thousands on top.

What differentiates Ideagen Q-Pulse QMS from other similar products?
There are many QMS products on the market like Greenlight Guru, Qualio etc. Each one will have their perks and drawbacks. It's down to the individual company and their needs which one suits them best.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
For lab equipment, it was the best system for managing inventory and calibration records.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The ease of use and functionality of the QMS. It is a bit outdated and not to the level of other QMS systems.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Great product if you have a lot of equipment which need to be maintained and keep calibration records. There are other products which have a better user-interface however if you like the old-school use then this product is for you.
