What differentiates Microsoft Planner from other similar products?
Planner is unique among project management tools due to its customizable views and dashboards. Its flexibility allows users to switch between lists, boards, and charts, providing clarity for complex data. Additionally, it can integrate with a wide array of apps, ensuring that all marketing instruments play in sync.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Successful marketing campaigns rely on meticulously collected, analyzed, and interpreted data. Efficiency and precision are key for any marketing team. Planner is a versatile project management tool that can help orchestrate this flow. The platform allows for the creation of workflows that trigger data collection and analysis without manual intervention, providing an extra set of expert hands. This automation ensures that data flows seamlessly into actionable insights, keeping campaigns on a steady beat.
What do you dislike most about this product?
However, the platform's native reporting features for marketing-specific analytics could use improvement. Currently, it heavily relies on external integrations for in-depth marketing data analysis. This reliance can sometimes disrupt an otherwise smooth workflow.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Planner is not just a tool for grand marketing performance; it is the conductor that ensures every bit of information has a home, every insight is finely calibrated, and every campaign achieves peak performance. I recommend using it to streamline the collection and analysis of marketing data. Planner's automated workflows are a standout feature, freeing up marketing professionals to focus on strategy and creativity instead of data management.

My favorite aspect of this product is its Kanban board view. You can drag and drop the cards to different buckets, which represent different stages or categories of your project
What do you dislike most about this product?
One of the things I dislike most about this product is its limited features. Microsoft Planner is more of a task management tool than a project management tool, and it lacks some advanced features that you’d find in many competitors. For example, Microsoft Planner does not support recurring tasks, subtasks, dependencies, Gantt charts, time tracking, or budgeting. It also has fewer integrations than other platforms, mainly with Microsoft apps
