What differentiates Microsoft Purview from other similar products?

Microsoft purview is cloud native data catalog tool which give a bird eye view of the data inventory, its classification feature along with Microsoft own security layer gives it a better advantage in the industry

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Ability to connect with Microsoft products and integrate with them

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its data lineage feature is not that versatile and rich yet. May be in coming years it will mature and provide holistic view of the data moving from one system to the other

Gem of a product for anyone going for cloud based data catalog tool

The reporting is fantastic but difficult to implement. Once done though, it's a great tool.

Be prepared to go through some hardship and complexity if you want it to function well.
