- Great app to increase employee engagement - Bundled with Microsoft 365, all in one solution, make it easy to manage and reduce cost - The Question type of posting, make it easy for user to ask a question and get the answer from their colleagues - Secure, we can set a policy to prevent user from sharing externally (default)
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
- Yammer has a set of fundamental features needed to create and increase employee engagement within the organization, such as posting, question, polling, praise, community, share picture or attachment in the status - Integrated with Microsoft 365 as all in one solution for productivity
What do you dislike most about this product?
As a social media, Yammer tends to have basic feature, that might not attract users to use it, especially for the first time.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Yammer is a great app to enhance employee engagement in your organization, it's secure and deeply integrated with Microsoft 365 family that will make easier for IT team to manage. The community in Yammer is also great for discussion, learning and development, hobby etc.

What differentiates Microsoft Viva Engage (Yammer) from other similar products?
Yammer’s community feature is pretty good because employees can only join the communities they care about and get updates about them directly from their team because it’s well integrated with other tools like Teams and Outlook. We can comment, and give reactions to posts like any social media.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to stay in touch throughout our company and I like the reconfigurability of the software and the fact that it can only be related to our business and not deal with external appearances. Communication among company employees is another advantage that I appreciate. Sharing between workers brings ease to communication.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It appears that some people are trying to pass this off as just another social media platform. Because of this, some employees don’t comprehend or use it. Perhaps a simplified user interface. I might have a distinct setup, but when I connect, I want to see an overview.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I appreciate the opportunity to create new communities on topics ranging from work or specific interests to specialized conversations about personal journeys. The fact that people who don’t want to participate can opt out of these discussions adds an extra layer of security which I appreciate; as well as the ability to receive email notifications whenever something new is posted in the community of their choice! Yammer provides a suitable environment to talk more freely and personally with colleagues without feeling exposed.

Level of customization options is limited. Notification and user interface could be more intuitive.
