Great out of the box, but difficult to scale
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Nintex from other similar products?
Nintex for Office 365 is a very easy to learn and use. It stands out by its robust out of the box features and having them easily accessible, with very minimal programming required. I found I didn't require much training and was able to build a form with a few hours. The workflows are very easy and intuitive to setup. Its GUI allows me to very easily scale up my workflow from something simple to something very complex
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
-Easy to learn and use -Can digitize many standard forms and template -Excellent support team -Great product team to showcase new features and updates -limited training videos on Youtube and how to perform different tasks
What do you dislike most about this product?
-Limited connectors for the Nintex for Office 365 product. Although that limitation is within the product we have, but it would be beneficial to support more than SharePoint Lists as a data source -slow performance for loading complex Nintex Forms and Nintex Workflows -Difficult to create complex forms and have an app -like experience for the user. Nintex Forms is still a very page by page form like experience
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you looking solutions to quickly digitize forms with a great out of the box experience, Nintex would be a great tool. However, if you are creating apps that my require complex data sources, different screens and user experience, Nintex for Office 365 may not meet your needs.
Pros
- Saves Time
- Respectful
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable

Easy to use, great features. Cross-site lookups!
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Nintex from other similar products?
Ease of use combined with great features. The form and workflow designers are very powerful and intuitive. Both offer cross-site lookups which SharePoint online desperately needs to work well. It is a right-sized product for a fair price. And they will extend the one-month trial so you can truly test the product yourself.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
No-code workflows, easy to use designers. I also like the flat price model; with PowerApps and PowerAutomate you don't know what spend you are committing to.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Responsive forms don't support "other" on choice fields or appended multi-text fields - you have to use extra fields for these.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make sure you have time booked in your calendar to really test it during the trial period. Maybe watch the tutorial videos before starting the trial to maximize your evaluation.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
- Trustworthy

Awesome product but with no future for cloud
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Nintex from other similar products?
Nintex is wonderfully easy to install and start using right away. It is so intuitive training is not really a concern. Developers can benefit from the application right away. Expert developers can really get Nintex to do some amazing things as long as they know JavaScript. Citizen developers can also gain a lot from the application as most can be done without JavaScript knowledge at all. We looked at K2 and never got any value out of that application for high cost. Nintex on the other hand gave us tremendous value right away.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The best part of using Nintex is the ease of installing it and getting it up and running. Can easily be done in a day. K2 took a month... Then actually using Nintex happened immediately whereas K2 took months and lots of training to get started.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Nintex has completely failed to respond to the coming of cloud computing. Every project I get now is to convert many Nintex workflows to the Power Platform. No one wants to pay for Nintex in the cloud. They are going to loose most of their customers as they transition to the cloud. I have yet to see one client move to the cloud with Nintex. They need to figure out their pricing model ASAP.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Nintex is an awesome technology for automating many manual processes to improve the efficiency of your organization which will save well more money than what Nintex costs. Keep in mind there is no forward path to the cloud that is within reason in terms of cost. If your organization is moving to the cloud anytime soon, I would suggest using PowerApps and Power Automate to streamline your processes. This will save you from having to migrate Nintex workflows to the Power Platform at a later date. My recommendation is to define your cloud strategy before purchasing Nintex.
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
Cons
- Less Generous
- Less Transparent
