What differentiates OutSystems from other similar products?
I think that the price, in reference to other low code platforms, is a really strong salespoint. Furthermore, The database integrations are set up quite smart which allow users to speed up the development and deployment process. The error handling is very good, which also helps newcomers to the platform to create better logic within their applications.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Compared to other low code platforms, the flow editor is easier to understand. It is very intuitive, which helps newcomers to quickly become productive with this platform.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The customization of your applications is a problem with almost all low code platforms, including Outsystems. With custom CSS you can fix this problem but this is harder than you want it to be from a low code platform aimed at developers with limited IT skills.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend to compare the various low code platforms available and read reviews from all these platforms. I think that in most cases, the use of Outsystems can really help a organization to quickly develop and implement a new application. If the application you want to develop is possible within Outsystems, I would greatly recommend it.
