Much Improved but pricey for what you get.

What differentiates QuarkXPress from other similar products?
QuarkXpress stands out in that it has decades of ingenuity to build on and was one of the first in its field.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of QuarkXpress is that it is NOT an Adobe product. Personally, I found a large amount of arrogance with Adobe once they became a subscription only company, which is why I transitioned away from them and picked up QuarkXpress again after almost 2 decades. QuarkXpress has remained true to its core and that is page layout, type refinement, large documents, with increased functionality in regards to images and exporting projects digitally.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Most recently Quark has changed their pricing structure and it seems calculated to maximize profit (which is fine in regards to business succeeding). Forcing customers to choose a pricing plan seems a sure way to loose a good number of them and based on their market share, not a very good way of creating new ones.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
2 years ago I would have recommended Quark to any and all designers. If one is familiar with Quark I would say the product will satisfy for what it does. For others I would recommend trying out the Affinity Serif suite of products, Designer, Photo, and Publisher (not to be confused with Microsoft Publisher). The 3 programs are so well integrated that it's virtually seamless going from one to another. The company is absolutely responsive to their customers and there are constant improvements and added features. There's a small learning curve but most of the tools and methodologies will be familiar. Also, at $55 each its affordable.
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity

- Charges for Enhancements

What differentiates QuarkXPress from other similar products?
Having used this software from inception it ticks all the boxes and never fails to deliver! Top quality in the market for me!
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ease of use and final print/web implementation!
What do you dislike most about this product?
Hard to say, a few odd times it crashes but probably more of a font issue!

Adobe InDesign is the standard for graphics but this product is still there as a standalone item over a long period of time! It still works wonders and creates a treat!
