The Red Hat Ansible Way!
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform from other similar products?
Other solutions require installing agents on managed nodes. Ansible on the other end communicates over SSH, providing a lightweight and flexible configuration management system.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The playbooks. They allow me to express configuration, deployment, and orchestration steps in a declarative YAML format.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The documentation is so extensive but might benefit from more beginner-friendly guides
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I'd recommend starting with small, well-documented projects to grasp the fundamentals. Then explore the vast collection of Ansible modules and playbooks available in the community
Pros

Excellent tool for infrastructure automation
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform from other similar products?
I find it attractive to grant management authority flexibly depending on the members' skills. We give read and configuration change permission according to our understanding of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Also, for members of other teams, authority is managed so that they cannot reference the workflow template created by their team. In addition, it is a simple and easy-to-understand system that can easily create workflow and job templates.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Simple configurations can be made using a configuration file in YAML format. Readability is guaranteed when checking the contents of the design created by others, so there are few problems later. The high extensibility of functions using the Ansible Galaxy library is attractive. While a certain amount of learning costs are required, a properly prepared environment with Ansible reduces stress on infrastructure engineers. It can be expected to reduce costs and improve speed in all aspects, such as operation, administration and development. Consider starting with automation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Although the documentation is extensive, there are some areas where detailed explanations are lacking, and many sites are difficult to understand unless you learn them yourself. I believe that more people will be able to understand the appeal of Ansible if the explanations for beginners and usage examples based on actual practices are enriched.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
One of the most noticeable effects was the significant reduction in work time. I was able to reduce labor time by approximately 2 hours per day. We will continue to promote automation in other products so that we can expect greater efficiency. The exact configuration can be applied to multiple servers, reducing administration costs from a few small servers to over a thousand servers. By automating provisioning, the number of person-hours developers require to configure the development environment can be reduced, which is expected to reduce development costs and improve development speed.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity

What differentiates Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform from other similar products?
Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform uses an agentless architecture that eliminates the need for agents to be installed on remote systems. This makes it easier to automate IT processes across a wide range of systems and platforms, including physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud instances.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform integrates with other Red Hat tools and technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Virtualization, and Red Hat Satellite. This can help organizations to extend the reach of their automation workflows and simplify the management of their IT infrastructure.
What do you dislike most about this product?
While Ansible's scripting language is relatively simple and easy to learn, some users may find the overall platform and its features to be complex and difficult to configure and manage, especially for larger or more complex IT environments.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
While Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform includes some reporting and analytics features, some users may find that these are not as comprehensive or easy to use as they would like. This can make it difficult to track and optimize automation workflows over time.
