The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. What differentiates Sage X3 from other similar products?
The whole company is using Sage Intacct. It is primarily used for company financials, but our project managers use the reports to help with their work. The financial part of Intacct is going well. Project accounting is much better with the new core components. We can now do more in Intacct instead of Excel.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The AP and AR modules are also very easy to use. The admin view function is very useful to help sort by specific items, making it easier to find entries. The Report Center is very good, there are many standard reports. But the report writer is great, it allows you to create reports however you want. The cash management module is very easy to use and works well. Facilitate bank reconciliation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
You should be able to have any number of project items/cost codes. If you are a project-based company and all projects are quite different, you should be able to track many projects. The project module requires more functionality. It is basically a data entry area. Action plans are not intact. You can't see invoices by project, nor can you know what invoices are open for that project without going to a different module and running a report. In the project module you can get very high-level information but not nice details.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Intacct is great for day-to-day accounting. Where it falls short is project tracking. It's just not functional enough. When we have a $30 million project and we don't have a detailed view of all the different budget lines, we can lose money without knowing it.

What differentiates Sage X3 from other similar products?
Sage X3 is our one-stop shop for order processing, purchasing and receiving, inventory control, accounts payable and receivable, and finance. Sage ERP X3 was implemented approximately two years ago and has automated many of our spreadsheet-based processes, increasing departmental efficiency by streamlining processes and securing our information in a centralized location. Eliminating many of our paper-based processes speeds acquisition and receipt and provides an easily auditable information trail for years to come.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The software is relatively easy to use. Import and export data easily. There is no problem splitting GL into sub-modules. The user interface has everything you expect and is conveniently located so you don't have to search and find the item you are looking for.
What do you dislike most about this product?
If you want to customize reports, you must know Crystal Reporting (at least for the version I use). Some error messages are in French. If you are not French or don't speak French, it is difficult to get around. Configuration complications. I had to use an outside vendor to help us customize the system so we could use it better within the organization.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I do not recommend this ERP for small organizations, especially if you do not have IT staff. While they do offer support packages, they can be expensive as some packages limit the number of calls you can make. Hiring an outside consulting firm for support is another avenue, but this can also be costly.

What differentiates Sage X3 from other similar products?
Sage X3 gives us great benefits in our company, through a series of features that allow us to easily operate each of the departments that cover its use, the tool is quite complete and after it begins to integrate decreases the difficulty of the processes providing valuable time for our employees who can see their productivity increasing day by day, adjusting parameters to make it more investable.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It has a user interface quite elegant and renewed, with all the options well located within its space, facilitating the process and avoiding to be looking everywhere for simple options, this is excellent. The export and import of data is very easy to do which is very much appreciated as it is one of the main features that are sought in these platforms. The software is easy to operate but requires prior training.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The configuration of the software was a problem we had since from telephone technical support we could not do it ourselves, having to resort to a third party which led to an unplanned extra expense, the installation and implementation should be a little simpler to adapt it to the processes in the company. The reports are not very customizable, there are some data that we would love to see but it does not show them and we must do them manually.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The tool is planted as one of the best business managers, the functions it has work excellently well and continue to improve over time, despite being a great tool its customer service can improve a little more and provide better solutions to customers, as it can be annoying that sometimes we do not know what to do if common errors jump, making us lose a little time.
