Essential tool for demand management.

What differentiates SAP Integrated Business Planning from other similar products?
We use SAP IBP every day to collect sales estimates from key account managers and suppliers, to validate these sales projections with the product team in the case of total revenue planning, and so on. It is utilized as a demand planning tool to manage sales, and it produces excellent outcomes such as extremely precise predictions, end-to-end SCM visibility, and overall performance of key KPIs shared with other team members.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I appreciate that I can add new key figures and update the logic if the IT and project management teams agree it; we currently have automated calculating logic for the key figure. I appreciate that you may create your own templates. SAP IBP gives a complete perspective via an appealing and simple-to-use Excel planning workbook/sheet, forecasting tools for large data sets, and collaboration with demand planning. We can anticipate using statistical models, have the capacity to correct outliers in previous data, and effectively capture the basic components of demand such as promotions, tenders, and so on.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The user interface should be improved; for instance, in IBP, the "Customer Name" is referred to as the "Forecast Entity Description." That's good for the planning team, but the sales staff is confused about the names. Because naming each significant figure is not always pure for novice personnel. Frequent changes make data management tough; sometimes we need to identify features that are not immediately accessible; and occasionally we get caught in data visualization and need to improve the planning area.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Definitely worth a shot for SCM professionals. I definitely recommend utilizing IBP as a demand management tool since it is simple to use, enables end-to-end demand management, and provides an end-to-end demand management solution. extreme. SAP IBP assists in the generation of baseline statistical projections by capturing market intelligence (promotions, tenders, and so on). It also aids in the financial recovery between the demand and company plans, as well as the NRC - net requirement estimates.

What differentiates SAP Integrated Business Planning from other similar products?
When we switched from SAP ERP to S4 HANA, ePPDS functionality was added to it. We use SAP products including SAP ERP, SAP SCM, SAP TM, etc. Because we are currently going to launch SCM solution with IBP, this product was selected. Utilizing the product offerings from the same vendors makes more sense than fiddling with numerous legacy integrations.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
We use IBP for demand planning solutions. We carry out demand planning in IBP with the help of some important limitations for monthly forecasts and submit the predicted outcome to the S4 system as independent requirements. For planned order creation within the planning horizon for procurement/production execution, MRP takes these independent requirements into account.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It is presently not feasible to perform jobs from Excel views when using scenarios. Predetermined KPIs that track supply chain performance may be advantageous.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The future planning tool from SAP is called SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and it goes without saying that the company plans to stop supporting its SCM APO module and combine its features into SAP IBP and the S4 ePPDS solution. The planning function is now functioning well and producing a basic result for MRP requirements based on a simplified key constraint. However, future enhancements are already planned in order to obtain a more sophisticated result.
