What differentiates SearchUnify Cognitive Search from other similar products?

Fair cost structure, not paying by user. Customer success, leadership, sales and technical team are very responsive and helpful.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I care about customer results and the robust user analytics provided.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some version upgrades do require our IT team along with testing and coordination however I think that is common.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ensure you define and prioritize your business requirements with key stakeholders. Ensure you dedicate staff to learn the product, interpret and monitor the analytics and results monthly.

What differentiates SearchUnify Cognitive Search from other similar products?

It's been a few years since I've compared them but the things that I would say differentiates is the services and support team. They are very open to new ideas and I see those ideas implemented or at least added to their roadmap quickly. The product continues to evolve and improve and I liked it when we first chose it so that's a big plus. The SearchUnify team has been a great partner and they work hard to ensure that they are meeting and exceeding our expectations, I've worked with many vendors over the years and I'd put this team at the top when it comes to service.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I'm a data person so my favorite aspect is the analytics. I love how you can clearly see what is going on in the search journey. You can control the relevancy of the results and soon after see the improvement through the data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I really like just about everything about the product. The biggest issue that I've had is mostly on our end due to controls we have in place and the fact that our use case is a little different. I think sometimes the effort to get things to work is a little more than if we could just use the out of the box connectors as designed but once we work through them, the end result is great.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would look at how SearchUnify solves your problem, and then take a step further and think about what other problems you can solve. I have uses outside of what we bought it for and that is where we really start seeing some ROI. Having a support Sponsor and doing some internal selling to the system admins of the systems you want to connect to is also a good idea.
