What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
In my opinion, I think the learn curve to sit down and start sending or receiving messages is a matter of a few minutes sets Slack apart. While learning to use more advanced features on Slack takes a while longer , being able to pick up on Slack quickly is an aspect where I believe Slack does have an advantage over similar messaging software products.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love how completely searchable my experience with Slack has become. I am able to find specific messages from my past Slack interactions , regardless of whether they are from days , weeks or months ago, This has enabled me to locate important conversations from my search history in seconds with ease.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Although virtual audio/video based interaction is possible with Slack Huddles, it is still steps behind what is obtainable on standard video conferencing products like Zoom. For my company, this has necessitated us to use Slack in integration with a standard video conferencing software , especially for large sized participant conversations.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Slack provides speed based business messaging , which I believe should be an integral part of efficient communication within most modern business environment. This is the reason why I recommend Slack.
