Niche product that delivers exceptionally well.

What differentiates STORIS POS from other similar products?
It is designed to work with the complexities of big ticket retail. The concept of written versus delivered sales is very difficult for larger pos systems outside of the home furnishings retail. They are also now far more capable as they have opened their API to work with other vendors.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The system is far more visually appealing and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Customization is pretty much nonexistent.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make sure you know how many users you could want and negotiate based on that. Similar to building a new property, it's much harder to negotiate after the construction occurs. Devote time and resources to this and don't get side tracked or it will cost you. Ask for referrals and get their take on what questions you should ask. Often storis can provide a solution or an answer to your question however they often can't guide you to the right question. Often the answer is no because you haven't asked them in the right way.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Unique Features
- Caring
Cons
- Vendor's Interest First
- Less Efficient Service
- Less Effective Service

Didn't Reinvent the Wheel: Improved it, though!

What differentiates STORIS POS from other similar products?
Storis POS has been our POS for as long as I can remember. It's UX is fine once you get use to the UI. It could definitely use a "new coat of paint." However, don't let that stop from using Storis as your accounting software, POS, and much more! Storis is very deep with features, reporting, customer management, and much, much more. I can go on and on, but the point is this: Storis isn't the original accounting/POS, but it is the better one!
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The best aspect of Storis is that I can drill down on customer data and salesperson data to help see a better picture on sales, thus affecting my marketing strategy. Additionally, Storis allows me to see patterns and trends in our inventory log without having to do too much work!
What do you dislike most about this product?
I don't like the UX/UI experience. It's clunky and looks like it was designed with Windows 95 in mind. I'm not asking for pretty gradients or motion graphics, but it could use a major face lift and help the user find things more easily.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Storis is in investment. I don't mean that financially exclusively - I mean that with time, as well. Storis will give what you put into it. THe more work you put into Storis, the better Storis performs and does for your company. Our warehouse teams, sales crew, and all of us in marketing use it daily for numerous functions and we couldn't do our jobs without all that Storis has to offer!
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Trustworthy
Cons
- Inhibits Innovation
- Less Efficient Service
- Wastes Time
