What differentiates Stripe Payments from other similar products?
It's so easy to use. It seems like that would be an easy win for payment processors, but Stripe came into the marketplace and did the basics its competitors had failed to do. They make it easy to sign up, easy to integrate with systems (websites, accounting software for invoicing, and mobile payments). They've made it easy to transact almost entirely via their system even when selling products in-person (via the mobile app). This ease traverses the system's use, but also the interface of the online portal. It's intuitive and fun to use.The design is beautiful.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
What I love most is how easy the system is to use and integrate with however I need to accept money. Because it does its job so well, I don't notice it much, but I'm incredibly grateful for it. Because of its design, it integrates with almost anything so taking payments on the phone or through an invoice are a sinch. Also, they are great about their communications giving updates and insights about what matters.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The main dislike I have is the transaction fee. I wish there was a way to get a lower rate or even a lower rate based on volume.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you need a credit card processing system, use Stripe. Unless the transaction rate is really a problem for you, this is the system to use. For freelancers and small business owners, it's a quick and easy decision that makes work and life better across the board. Remove the headache of archaic systems and work with Stripe.
