What differentiates VMware Aria Operations from other similar products?
The simplicity of use and VMware Cloud on AWS's ability to upgrade and extend the current on premise apps to the cloud are two of its most compelling characteristics. Adapting a VMware infrastructure to software upgrades has been challenging. You can update all the system parts without interruption using VMware-certified software versions thanks to the integrated SDDC Manager.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Using VMware Cloud on AWS, we migrate our regular accounting and payroll system from VMware and vSphere to the cloud. We won't need to alter our infrastructure or implementation when moving to AWS because VMware offers tools to verify the hardware and software we need and ensure we have enough components to execute our system.
What do you dislike most about this product?
NSX can manage security services and a virtual network in a simple mode but not in an advanced way. The pool of computing resources is severely constrained for clients who want to control virtual machines' workload. Although getting used to the system can be challenging, VMware Cloud on AWS will enable you to complete all tasks once you are comfortable with the documentation.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The user interface is relatively easy to navigate. I've had success utilizing VMware Cloud on AWS. Despite its limited features and more expensive membership plan, this is the easiest and fastest option to access the public cloud. Additionally, some regions need to be more flexible regarding the computations that may be performed and the available nodes.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
