How to read the Emotional Footprint
The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. It aggregates emotional response ratings for various dimensions of the vendor-client relationship and product effectiveness, creating a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and product.
While purchasing decisions shouldn't be based on emotion, it's valuable to know what kind of emotional response the vendor you're considering elicits from their users.

Game-changing tech; not as “no-code” as presented
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates WalkMe from other similar products?
The degree to which it be customized if you can code
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Auto-play, though I wish it performed better. I’ve been able to define data conditions that portend user error and I use it to auto-play WalkMe content before the user can commit said error. I want to do more of it but auto-play doesn’t work inside of iframes, which is often where I need it most.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The step selector. It’s sold as 100% reliable. Best I’ve ever seen is 40%.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Consider it takes engagement of IT, Learning and the business. Each owns a piece and that relationship needs to be clear up front. And DO NOT think that you can teach an existing employee to build walks off of the side of their desk. You will get nowhere fast.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Unique Features
Cons
- Under Delivered
- Less Transparent
- Vendor's Interest First

Market innovator, but competition is growing.

What differentiates WalkMe from other similar products?
At this point, the clear differentiation is fading. For the last few years, WalkMe has offered the most robust suite of tools in DAP. They defined the market, but since they went public, customer service has become commoditized and their rate of innovation has slowed. What remains in the WalkMe offering that is truly unique is their Vision user tracking and their integrations with large platforms solutions. Ex: Salesforce and SharePoint.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Our ability to pop up messages for our users, segmenting our messaging and our ability to see what percentage of our userbase has seen the message is key to our success.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The automatic element selection is a proprietary feature that has never worked reliably. The promise from WalkMe is that this was going to be improved - this has never become a reality, so the key feature that most people think of in DAP (application navigation support) is all but unavailable for us without heavy "coding" customization by our staff.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Identify your key value propositions, guarantee that WalkMe can deliver on these needs prior to sale. I require any vendor create a solution without our code during my market research phase - if they cannot get it to work, easily, reliably and quickly, then there is no chance I'll be able to once it's installed.
Pros
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Respectful
- Performance Enhancing
Cons
- Inhibits Innovation
- Slower Product Innovation
- Less Efficient Service

Helps to Onboard New Users and Train Them Quickly
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates WalkMe from other similar products?
I would say the versatility of the product is what sets it apart from its competitors. It has many tools available to you from the onset that will help guide new users through your product in any way you see fit.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I loved how easy it was to implement, it was a seamless experience and helped our company get going using Walkme right away. The UI is very intuitive and not much training is required to learn the ins and outs of the product. This tool has really helped us onboard new users of our product quickly and painlessly over the last year. We will continue to use this product for the foreseeable future.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There's not much I dislike about Walkme. If I have to choose something to improve I would say reporting and insights could use some more work. I would like to have some more control over the types of reports I can use and build those reports myself as opposed to having them automated. They have made some improvements on this front in the last few months so I think they are headed in the right direction at least.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would say you should consider using the services of an external implementation partner. One that has previous WalkMe experience would be ideal. This helps to reduce the learning curve and shorten the roll-out period.
Pros
- Reliable
- Enables Productivity
- Unique Features
- Efficient Service
