Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response Rated #1 in Endpoint Protection Data Quadrant
Based on data collected from real users, Malwarebytes Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) took the number one spot on SoftwareReviews’ Endpoint Protection Data Quadrant (Figure 1) for its second consecutive year. In the report, Malwarebytes EDR rated highest overall in all areas of evaluation (Figure 2):
- Net Emotional Footprint – A measure of the user’s emotional response of the vendor (e.g. trustworthiness, respectful, fair).
- Vendor Capabilities – A list of capabilities regarding the vendor’s product offering that includes business value created, product strategy and rate of improvement, vendor support, and ease of IT administration.
- Product Features – A select set of features that all endpoint protection vendors must provide to be included in the Endpoint Protection Category Report. Features under evaluation include, but are not limited to, application containment mechanisms, automated remediation, dynamic malware detection, forensics, and system hardening.
- Likeliness to Recommend – A measure of how likely the user would recommend the product to their peers.

Our Take
Endpoint security products were compared to provide customers with an unbiased view of the product landscape. In our Endpoint Protection Category Report, we provide a comprehensive evaluation of popular products within the allotted market, focused on the direct experiences of your peers operating the solution rather than the marketing jargon found on vendor websites.
Based on our data, Malwarebytes EDR placed first in our Endpoint Protection Category. Statistics obtained from our peer report include:
- 99% of users expressed their plan to renew their current contracts.
- 92% of users expressed that they were likely to recommend Malwarebytes EDR.
- Customer-to-vendor interactions within all areas of the Malwarebytes’ business (Sales, Client Service, Technical and Product Specialists, and Leadership Team) had on average 95% positive sentiments (e.g. effective, knowledgeable, friendly, caring).
- Clients who joined Malwarebytes were on average were 57% more satisfied compared to their previous vendor.
- 57% of organizations received discounts at initial purchase or at renewal.
- 67% of companies spent zero dollars on formal user and administrative training.
- Based on Organization Fit, and Capability, Feature, and Cost Satisfaction, medium-size businesses (501-5,000 employees) were found to benefit most from Malwarebytes EDR platform.
