Great features for architecture modelling!
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Bizzdesign Horizzon from other similar products?
Bizzdesign Horizzon is an excellent tool that adheres to ArchiMate standards that allows for structured architecture. It is a comprehensive tool that has integration capabilities with many external tools, Bizzdesign provides guided modeling and built-in templates to help users follow architecture best practices. In BizzDesign, organizing the repository using an individual folder structure can help teams manage and navigate complex models, diagrams, and artifacts efficiently. Other architecture tools do not have these capabilities, and do not generate views according to ArchiMate. Bizzdesign allows for many automated analytics capabilities.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Bizzdesign offers organizations a great way to manage their application portfolio management inventory. The tool allows for end user to develop heat maps that display the status of the application landscape. It's advanced analytics allow users to perform impact analysis, gap analysis, and heatmaps. It is an important feature when visualizing complex relationships between architecture components to help management with decision-making and risk assessment. Bizzdesign allows for standards-based support for ArchiMate, BPMN, UML, and ERD with model integrity checks. As a cloud-based solution, the latest features are deployed automatically.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Bizzdesign takes time for end user to learn. The tool requires some initial training to get the full value which can add to implementation time and costs. Data mapping from external systems such as ServiceNow in Bizzdesign's model can be complex and requires a lot of governance. Without careful mapping, there’s a risk of data mismatches which leads to errors in the model and require lots of manual correction. This leads to more cost as more resources are added for governance.. Custom integrations with ServiceNow and other external tools will require API customization. This will lead to third-party services support and additional training.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Bizzdesign is a great tool to use for organizations that are already using TOGAF, ArchiMate, or BPMN frameworks. However, for small organizations it might not be needed as the architecture could be less complex. Smaller organizations could potentially see more value in using open source tools that are not as costly as Bizzdesign. The tool works well for enterprises with complex dependencies across IT and business processes. Overall, Bizzdesign's structured modeling, in-depth analysis, and visualizations support strategic decision-making. The tool will require training and careful implementation to fully leverage its capabilities.

Supports collaboration between projects
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Bizzdesign Horizzon from other similar products?
Several projects coming together in the background to avoid duplicate naming and entities.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Being able to view my colleagues projects. Checking their field names and datatypes.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The interface can be improved to make it easier for the user to insert and enter fields. Not being able to make different versions of the same project view makes it hard to communicate different idea's to colleagues.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The power of bizzdesign can be used when you bring multiple projects together. This should also be something your organization needs. You also have to enter it yourself for the first time of course.

Very value focussed but a bit expensive

What differentiates Bizzdesign Horizzon from other similar products?
It is largely a conherent product which focuses enterprise architecture has to be communicated to have worth. It is going towards a Web strategy to facilitate a more interaction around enterprise architecture. Our previous tools (two) were difficult communicate the enterprise architecture content. Also collaborting and maintaining the content were very difficult.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
This is a fully featured traditional EA tool, but one which are transitioning to support a Data Driven model. As a company with a traditional EA practice this gives us the ability to grow into a Data Driven modell in time. Its very flexible and gives you a ton of features uncluded without additional module licenses. They hav a broad set of methodologies implemented and whitepapers to show how it is done.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There is a trasition from a Desktop application functionality to a Webbased application and in the transition there are functionality which are not working in both paths. But they will aventually get there. They are too embedded into ArchiMate, but ofc have other options included. But they should facilitate different presentation forms easier for the producer of EA content.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
This product will support you if your enterprise architecture methodology is either traditional or data driven. If you choose Bizzdesign they promote a perspective that you should focus on what gives you business value to "control", I'd suggest you do that and not model everything. You should also ask you self whether or not Archimate is the choise for you.
