Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Huntress Managed Security Platform from other similar products?
Huntress MDR is a good choice for SMBs looking for a managed detection and response service. It offers robust threat detection and response capabilities with the added benefit of expert support. However, larger organizations with more complex needs might need to consider additional or complementary solutions.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Peace of Mind: With continuous monitoring and expert analysis, organizations can be more confident that threats will be detected and managed promptly.Cost-Effective: Huntress MDR provides enterprise-level security without the need for an in-house security team, which can be cost-prohibitive for many organizations.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Dependence on External Support: While Huntress provides excellent support, organizations are dependent on an external team for incident response, which might not be ideal for all scenarios.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Focus on SMBs: Huntress is particularly well-suited for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Larger enterprises might require more customization and scalability options.

Unique in the space, fantastic company

What differentiates Huntress Managed Security Platform from other similar products?
As a persistent threat hunting tool, Huntress has some of the best people and technology in the industry. They're not an AV product, they're in a space not currently occupied by any other direct competitors
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The management and integration with Microsoft Defender and the addition of M365 monitoring has been fantastic. The huntress team cares deeply for the industry generally, watching them help and support non customers in the 2021 kaseya breach sold me on the organization. They truly care about not only their customers but the security of the MSP world as a whole. They're constantly giving back to the community, not just their paid customer base.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I really don't have much - it could be easier to trigger a manual review of an endpoint (a button VS opening a ticket) but that's about it.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Consider it in light of the rest of your technology stack - any introduction of a security product has implications beyond only the solution you're attempting to implement
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
