How to read the Emotional Footprint
The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. It aggregates emotional response ratings for various dimensions of the vendor-client relationship and product effectiveness, creating a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and product.
While purchasing decisions shouldn't be based on emotion, it's valuable to know what kind of emotional response the vendor you're considering elicits from their users.

A slam dunk for ecommerce
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Shopify from other similar products?
Shopify is a leader in simple and easy to use ecommerce. It may not be the simplest anymore (give that to woocommerce or something), but that's also because they've made accommodations to make themselves a leader with larger businesses (multi-millions per month and higher). The team at Shopify is anxious to improve the product and has skillfully integrated many of the major functions into the platform, enabling businesses to manage more of their needs in house and with a smaller team. I have yet to find another platform that balances order management and website management as well as Shopify does.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Aside from the simple navigation of the backend (adding media, products, integrations, etc.), one of the underrated aspects of Shopify is the app store. Due to the volume of the product, there are thousands of incredible apps that add functions to your store that wouldn't be possible without a skilled engineer. Depending on your store's volume, the apps are also cheaper than hiring an engineer to build the function (especially if they require maintenance).
What do you dislike most about this product?
Two things stick out that didn't 'exceed' expectations at all times. 1. Unless you are on Shopify Plus, support is pretty 'meh'. It's not bad, but it's also not great. Responses can be lagging, or not very helpful. 2. As your store scales in volume, the processing fees can really add up. While it's a small percentage of each sale, once you are making thousands (or tens of thousands) of sales per month, the amount that's getting sent to Shopify is hefty. Once you break the million dollars a month mark, we're talking processing fees amounting to the cost of a new car. Are both of these dealbreakers? Not at all.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Consider the scale of the business! If your store is likely going to end up in the small/medium category (lets call that under 25,000 orders a month), Shopify has unlimited upside. The apps and themes can make your store feel incredibly unique and functional, without high overhead or having to invest in multiple platforms. It's a total no brainer. But if your business is getting up to 5-10M in monthly revenue, the fees you'll pay to Shopify will feel hefty and out of touch, which will make you look for another platform. But...then you'll realize that switching to another platform would be incredibly time consuming and expensive too.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
Cons
- Vendor's Interest First
- Less Generous
- Security Frustrates

Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Shopify from other similar products?
Shopify helps to design the e-commerce website for a small or mid-tier business that doesn't require any engineers or security team for the development. You can simply drag and drop in terms of requirements and also it doesn't require updating the website again and again. It manages the website and its security itself.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The favorite aspects are you can design the website and add products according to your needs and the person who buys your product the notification will directly pops out in the Gmail. Also, you can design the payment methods for the user where the user can choose the preferred payment method for purchasing the product. The website can be directly attached to the domain and can be easily hosted online when made through Shopify.
What do you dislike most about this product?
There are no aspects of this software which I can say that I dislike about it.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
