Fantastic software for Project Management
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Tempo Portfolio Manager from other similar products?
Consistent upgrades and new features. Breadth of current features are worlds apart from other platforms we have used as a company. No frills, it does what you need it to do.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The predictive scheduling and ranged estimates. Both of these features really helps manage best and worst case scenarios and allows me to report worst case deliverables to clients and better manage expectations.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some missing features from the Classic version, but I am promised they will be available on the new version soon!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Speak with the customer services team. They have so much knowledge on both versions of LiquidPlanner. The customer service is first class. Shout out to Doug Moscaret who is a product advisor, he helped us transition back to LiquidPlanner recently.

Incredibly Unique Resource Management Engine
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Tempo Portfolio Manager from other similar products?
Instead of fixating on planned versus actual, this product helps us focus on scheduling the remaining work with the resources available.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Absolutely love the flexible schedule - for example the ability to schedule resources with varying availability over time which then calculates the estimated completion time for projects/tasks. This feature should be at the center of every ERP out there, I think.
What do you dislike most about this product?
We are using it a little outside its intended purpose - scheduling manufacturing - so for our purposes it's a little tedious when doing the same thing over and over again.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Try it out, super easy to use and get started.

Most Versatile Workflow Management Software
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Tempo Portfolio Manager from other similar products?
The ability to view data in multiple ways and the ease of customization sets LiquidPlanner apart from other software that I've demo'd. We've struggled to find a software that can fit our accounting firm's needs, as most software designed for accountants are too rigid for our specific model, and most other workflow software products don't give us the level of detail that we need. LiquidPlanner meets the middle of those two worlds in a way that we can use to drive our business forward.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Our favorite aspect of LiquidPlanner is the ability to assign work to specific individuals so everybody knows what's on their plate for the day, week, month, etc. LP has allowed us to use technology to form clarity, which has opened up remote working possibilities for us at critical points in our company, like when the pandemic hit. We also rely heavily on the time tracking and timesheets functionality,
What do you dislike most about this product?
We could really use more robust reporting. The classic version had so much more than we needed in reporting, but the new version doesn't quite have enough. Being able to pull different data points together without having to take everything into excel and use pivot tables would be a dream for us. Not being able to use comments per task like we could in classic is also hard to get used to. We relied heavily on comments to drive our tax returns forward and having to click into a task to see any description/notes costs us time. We would so love to have the timer feature back!
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
LiquidPlanner is so customizable that practically any process or project driven company could benefit from its use. we'll recommend LiquidPlanner to anybody who will listen. I have demo'd 5 or so other "big name" workflow management software products, so far nothing has been as compatible for keeping my workflow structured, efficient, and clear as LiquidPlanner has. Pricing is pretty in line with the market. Customer Service has been helpful and knowledgeable, which I really appreciate. Working with a robust software that has a smaller team has been a breath of fresh air.
