What differentiates UKG Pro from other similar products?
Many features differentiate UKG from other vendors like configurable fields can be added to many screens and quickly reported upon. Time from UKG WFM smoothly integrates to UKG Payroll Gateway saving many hours. UKG Payroll Gateway has Pending Pay, Coefficient overtime (bonuses on hrly employees) and Coefficient overtime Lookback (bonuses on prior months for hrly employees). Onboarding smoothly communicates to IT and also automoves employee documents to the employees UKG Pro core record. The smoothness of moving from UKG Pro to UKG WFM (time) with SSO is very nice.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The Onboarding, New Hire process is very smooth with I-9, Background checks, SSO, IT Communication all works so smoothly. UKG Pro Payroll Gateway has a ROLL BACK feature that is fabulous. Payroll Gateway Pending Pay and Retro work great. Love the Coefficient Overtime Lookback feature that had system generated reports showing you that your employee is paid correctly. I like that UKG PS (Payment Services) submits our taxes and files our tax returns for us.
What do you dislike most about this product?
When wanting to start a new project, I do submit a Project Ticket (called a "Service Request") and I then have to wait 4-6 weeks for someone to call. At times, the UKG PS (Payment Services)(aka tax services) can be slow to respond to IRS notices, but I believe most payment services are a bit slow on replying to many of these complex items.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Role Recruiting and Onboading and the UKG Pro (HR side out first), Then roll out UKG WFM (time and labor) out in a staged approach. Role out other modules in a staged approach. Don't add Check History from a prior vendor. Add Job History to history tables after you go live (4-5 months after).
