Especially it's ease of use and management, the behind the scenes. Also, it's usually much lighter than other products.

Management behind the wheels. Very easy to use, anyone can change the settings and configure the entire thing.

Since there's a bunch of plugins, sometimes one can conflict with the other and you may have to change things around so it works.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Just look at the amount of templates you can find it on the web, how easy it is to manage things, there's a ton of information online on how to use it and especially that it's easier to find third party developers for it. Can't go wrong with it.

A market standard that works

What differentiates WordPress.com from other similar products?
It has plenty of integrations, it is the number one in the world. It is easy to implement (the .com version, and also the .org version), and it can be migrated to the .org version anytime. In this sense it is a clear winner. The bad points are that, being more complex and mature, it may be slow. I mean, pages do not load so fast as alternative solutions such as Ghost.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Easy to set up, and very professional. It offers a free starting plan. Therefore in 30 minutes you can start blogging with your own URL. And when the blog site growths, it is possible to move to an own domain with just a few click and a very reasonable price. Even use it to accept payments. It gives a lot of flexibility to move back the Opensource version anytime. But having the professional hosting they offer and the security suite, it is an advantege an problems free option.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike two things: one it is that pages load slowly many times. And second that it can become complex to use. There is an open source version that is the most popular. And the paid version. The open source is when it is possible to get the maximum of flexibility but at the price of needing to add a lot of tech effort.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I find it very useful at the early stages of the "blogging journey", when the user just wants to start out and test the waters without an initial investment. And also, at the very end of the of the blogging "journey", when after many years, you have a solid business and just want to not have to worry about tech issues and focus on content creation.
Pros
- Unique Features
- Inspires Innovation
- Respectful
- Altruistic
Cons
- Security Frustrates
