Async first with channels and topics
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Zulip from other similar products?
Zulip is slicing discussion into meaningfull channels which are separated into topics. It does fit better for our usage. It's very easy to catch up all relevant messages even you are longer time offline.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Channels and topics. I do like slighly "old school" design as well.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I'm missing "reminder" bot
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Best way is to try it itself. It has different "work flow" than most of team communications products. It's way different than Slack, Teams or Mattermost. Only real competition here is Twistapp

What differentiates Zulip from other similar products?
Having channels and topics allows the level of granularity required for future team members to look at past chats and decision making
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love that it encourages using channels and topics instead of DMs. Often, team members want to use DMs for their projects.

UI on topics is a bit finicky, beginners often end up with #no-topic chats, so need to explain it to them

Spend some time learning the capabilities. Think of the design of your channels and topics
