Jira brings pace to how we manage projects.
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Jira from other similar products?
This is Jira's support for multiple use cases. As a project management software , Jira is designed to be usable by multiple departments across organizations. This makes Jira a convenient option for organizations looking to maintain uniformity in how projects are managed across internal departments.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Because Jira successfully connects with critical day to day software I use in the workplace, we have found it straight-forward to create and automate workflow processes between Jira and software tools we connect it with. This allows the automation of repetitive tasks such as approvals, updating task statuses, time logging and of course day to day project report generation.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Jira fails to fully support full team collaboration by not providing a fully functional 'timeline viewing' option for users. The absence of a fully functional timeline view on Jira for me, makes it tedious to identify the connection and relationships between tasks and sub-tasks in real time. This limits how quickly I can make changes when problems arises with assigned project tasks.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
A key reason why we have embraced Jira is because of its effective agile tools. For teams who favour the agile methodology when it comes to project management, I believe that Jira should strongly be considered.
Pros
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Security Protects

Excellent platform for international collaboration
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Jira from other similar products?
It has a more organized and visual interface. It also allows for more collaborative work between programmers and leadership during meetings. I have worked at multiple places where we had Jira up as we prioritized Fixes for Release.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Collaboration and prioritization
What do you dislike most about this product?
I don't dislike anything about it. A new user especially someone out of school should go through a training class. If they know about the Software Development Lifecycle, JIRA will make sense.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Spent time training new users. Show them how your organization uses the platform.
Pros
